Working alongside the ‘youth rangers’ we will be spiling and bank strengthening by the river.

The head ranger at Styal has confirmed that we will be doing some spiling on Sunday - protecting parts of the river banks from erosion using living willow  so If you enjoy rolling around in mud, splashing about in a river, or just watching other people doing so, then this is the task for you. We will meet in the car park at Quarry Bank Mill at 9:30 as usual. Wellies might be a good idea to bring along if you can and waders will be provided for anyone who needs to be in the water.
