**Bank Holiday Weekend Special** - Wonderful Wharfedale

Saturday 29 August 2015

MNTV is bringing another great weekend to you!

In April 12 of us had a fantastic two days in Snowdonia with glorious weather, outrageously gorgeous scenery and a healthy slice of entertaining banter. This weekend promises to be just as good and takes place in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales on the August bank holiday 29th-30th. We’ll be staying at the basecamp in the lovely village of Buckden, nestled in Wharfedale, and will be working on the Saturday and Sunday.

I could explain the work to you, but the ranger, Roisin, has already done a better job than I ever could:

“The work will be laurel and rhody clearing in Redmire Wood in Upper Wharfedale.  The woodland is really interesting – it was created by the Victorians so has lots of interesting trees and built features.  It has never really been widely advertised so has a real untouched feeling to it.  We all think it’s a very special woodland.”

The weekend is open to any volunteers who have previously attended a workday with us. The cost will be £20 to cover the basecamp accommodation and food.

To book your place please complete the weekend booking form on the downloads page on the website. Ideally, please pay electronically and send your form by email, rather than through the post.

I hope you will join us for what should be another superb weekend.
