MNTV Workday - Shugborough Hall

Sunday 20 September 2026
08:30 to 16:30

We last visited Shugborough Hall over 15 years ago but with the invitation from our sister group Shropshire and Staffordshire NTV we are returning to the home of the Anson Family. Shugbourough Hall near Stafford was given to the Trust in 1960 by the 5th Earl, Patrick better known as Lord Lichfield who was a professional photographer. Inside the Georgian mansion you can see unusual treasures and experience life 'below stairs' in the servant's quarters, then enter a world of glamour and royalty in the apartments of Patrick Lichfield. Meanwhile outside, you can explore sweeping parkland, ancient woodland and a landscape peppered with monuments. You may also spot Longhorn cows and Southdown sheep. What the team has in store for us we do not know but it will be great to get back there and see how things have changed since we were last there.

Meet at Styal for car share @ 8.30 or go direct and meet at 10am in the main car park
