Chirk is a lovely modern castle surrounded by Park Land, on the Welsh side of the English/ Welsh border. It’s on the site of an older castle and has seen many skirmishes over the years, you might even get to see a battle reenactment.

Follow the brown signs rather than satnav when you get closer the entrance is north of the castle
Car Share meeting points:
Meet at Quarry Bank Mill at 8:30 for a 10am Start, please contact the leader before hand to make sure there is someone else car sharing.
Facilities:
There are toilets in the information centre by the carpark. As with most sites you may be working several minutes’ walk from the carpark. The site is fairly flat.
